There is this new extreme high-end shopping mall in Macau now just in front of the old Hotel Lisboa. The place is part of the huge complex connected to MGM Grand, Mandarin Oriental and its adjoining Residence. All I had to say was "This is NOT Macau I used to lived".
When I walked inside the mall, it was empty. Visitor to store employee ratio is about 1: 10. The place mall was empty. Guess because it was the middle of the week. The only busy store was LV. The rest like Tod's, Panerai, Ferragamo, Boss, Z Zegna, Zegna and the like, had no one in there. I roamed thru the LV store just because I could and said "I have done it". The store had 3 floors!!!! I walked into Tod's to check out some loafers as I in need a replacement pair. Ummm... Not the price but I just didn't feel I should shop here. Felt a little bit too "luxurious" compared to the "Real" world out there.
