Went out for lunch yesterday at this Neo-type Western food joint called Element Fresh. The place on Nanjing Road West in Portman has just been totally renovated. Nice. Now smokers sit upstairs away from the non-smokers.
So, I ordered a steak sandwich. Didn't know why but had a craving for a nice piece of juicy steak. Wrong expectation! First bite, I almost had my veneers off my front teeth! The knife could not cut thru the piece of meat. I had to eat it by the layer. Then the second piece of meat was the same! I tried chewing it. Wrong choice. Thought I had grinded off my front veneers. I could hear a very horrible sound as I bit down! Good thing nothing had been damaged. I was saved! Phew... Obviously, I left the other half of my sandwich.
Have to give this restaurant credit for coffee. It's strong and twice better than the Starbucks. The breakfast menu is good. But for dinner menu, just need to be careful what you order. Stay off beef I guess.
