For real?

Yes! Our flight from YQR to DEN arrived 30 minutes early. By the time we were parked at the gate, it was about 8:45am. The captain came thru on the speaker saying "Sorry folks, due to US Custom regulations I cannot let you off the plane until 9am. ". The border/Immigration counters do not open until 9am. What? What International airport is that? Wow! 5am... I can understand. But 9am? Ummm.... So we were stuck on the plane and wasting fuel with the engine running to keep us cool. Now what Carbon Foot print is that coming from the top? That's 10 extra minutes of fuel could be saved for the Airline.

Then, the bridge could not get to the plane; we waited for mechanics to fix before we could deplane. 9:25am... Finally! What a walk to the Immigration Hall; it was like the mountain trail; first you climbed and climbed; over the hum and you dropped to the basement for the line.

I had to tell the guy there which page to look for my previous entry stamp. Page 31. Why? I had no idea; so he stamped there. So how the heck can one establish a proper sequence of events using the passport? And yes, the CDN did that too... Page 13.... Must be a new method. There must be a reason for this recommended by "experts".
