hotel view

I am staying at the Swissotel Stamford. From our hotel room balcony, this is the view. First picture, far left is the new Sand Hotel. The second picture is the "old" Singapore downtown.

The view was great but the hotel room was overprices. Good thing it wasn't us to pay: 280SGD a night. Ridiculous. The room was tired. And I meant TIRED. The maintenance just put some sealants in the bathroom, I could smell it and HAD to clean it up in the bathtub. Basically, I wouldn't pay that much! Just across the road at Pan Pacific, same price but 100% better.

Company just had too much $ and listened to the employees too much on this one. ;-) We are staying here but the training centre was one subway stop away. We could have stayed at the M Hotel downtown and walk across in 5 minutes! Now, hauling equipments, teaching materials and fight people traffic every morning. O well.

This hotel is next door to Raffle City mall and the City Hall subway stop. Basically we are paying for the convenience but for whose? ;-)
