movie

I started watching the remake of the Karate Kid by J@ck!e Ch@n yesterday afternoon. Maybe I know the places too well in the movie as well as flying. I laughed because: 1) Flying from the American East Coast over to Asia, a daylight flight over to Asia will never have the sun down. Always sunny until landing. But the in-flight clip shows darkness and sun rise before landing in Beijing. Umm... 2) The view of the famous CCTV building as the backdrop of the 2008 big O event, the car was traveling in the wrong direction. It was NOT heading to town but heading to the airport on DongSanWan, the #3 Ring Road. 3) The Arrival Hall in Beijing was actually a mix of shots of Hong Kong departure and arrival areas. What so funny was at the Arrival Hall, the number 2 meeting post, a 3-second shot. Nowhere in any Chinese airport uses that complex character. All airports use Roman numerics.

I could not believe how much stuff "wrong" I noticed. Well, I practically fly between Beijing and HKG too many times. The airport images ingrained in my brain too much to "fool" me.
